How to reach us:
The reserve is located about 25 km from Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape and is accessible via a gravel road. A four wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
The distance from Cape Town is 735 km, about an 8-hour drive. George and Port Elizabeth are 325 km away, about 4 hours drive, and Graaff-Reinet 85 km, just over an hour.
If a car rental is taken from Avis, the car can be left at their branch in Graaff-Reinet, from where we can fetch you.

Please note: visitors are welcome by appointment only. A contribution towards the work of the Arpana Foundation and/or the Kriegershoek Nature Reserve is expected.

Things to do on the reserve:
A safari drive, game viewing, bird watching, rock climbing, mountain biking, camping are all available to our guests. Many just enjoy the beautiful walks, pristine environment and fresh mountain air.
Guests are also very welcome to share in our projects with the children and the day-to-day management of the reserve.
